Contracts, billing & leaving
Do I have to sign a long-term lock-in contract?
No long-term lock-in is required. Managed IT clients are invoiced monthly, and you can give one month's notice to stop the service. There's no multi-year contract to sign and no exit penalty for a reasonable, straightforward departure.
Why we don't lock clients in
We think month-to-month is simply the right way to earn your business — by doing good work every month, not by trapping you in a long agreement you regret and can't escape. Long lock-in contracts tend to protect the provider, not the client, and they remove any pressure on the provider to keep delivering once the ink is dry.
How it keeps us honest
A no-lock-in model keeps our incentives pointed the right way. If we were ever not delivering, you'd be free to leave — so we're always motivated to keep you happy, responsive and well looked after. In practice, our clients stay for years (often a decade or more) not because they're contractually stuck, but because the service is good. That's a far healthier basis for a long relationship.
The one thing worth knowing
If you ever do leave, any unused prepaid support hours aren't refunded, so it's worth using your balance first. Beyond that, offboarding is handled cooperatively — your data and access are yours. To get started with no lock-in, call (08) 9325 1196.
